This Green Map is based on a prototype developed by Paolo Isobardi from the Department of Geomatic Engineering at University College London. Further work has been undertaken by Ali Macdonald and Paul Dalton to integrate it into the live London 21 directory. The new integrated 3-site system provides that when organisations or events are added to the London 21 network of sites they are automatically geo-coded and, providing they have been entered with a selected category and a postcode in London, will appear on this map. Each category used to group data throughout the site has a specific symbol used to represent it on the Green Map. A key of category symbols (called the Legend) is shown under the Legend tab.
